MOSCOW, Apr 13 (PRIME) -- The leaders of Russia’s parliamentary fractions and Speaker of the lower house State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin have introduced a bill on retaliatory measures against the latest U.S. sanctions on Friday.
“We have discussed the necessity to respond to the rude behavior of the U.S. and creation of hindrances to the Russian business during continuous talks on unfriendly activities against our country,” Volodin told reporters.
“We plan to discuss the bill at the State Duma Council meeting… send it to our colleagues in regions, discuss again with experts and the government. After that we will consider it at the next State Duma session,” he added. The extraordinary council meeting is slated for April 16, he said.
According to the bill seen by PRIME, Russia’s retaliatory measures include a full ban or partial restrictions on employment of U.S. citizens and citizens of states supporting the U.S. policies in Russia.
The bill also includes a ban or restrictions on exports of rare earth metals or equipment made of such metals by the U.S. and a ban or restrictions on imports of the U.S.-made agricultural, alcoholic and tobacco products.
Russia may raise fees for navigation services provided to cargo planes owned by the U.S.
Russia may begin drawing investment only from states not supporting the U.S. policies.
The document envisages no ban on medicines which analogues are not produced in Russia.
